Who we are
A decade ago, Liberty Coffee’s founding partner, Terence Tay walked into an espresso bar in Rome and experienced a coffee epiphany. As a commercial airline pilot, multiple visits to countries with burgeoning specialty-coffee markets, such as London, Australia, Korea, and the US fed this passion. He hung up his wings to import and roast the finest specialty coffees, but the travels have not stopped.

El Fénix Community Coffee Wet Mill
Our CSR efforts to establish a sustainable, stable value chain is manifested in our relationship with Raw Materials on the El Fenix farm project. Through this and the Red Associations undertaking, some 660 coffee farming families have doubled their income since 2018 in Colombia.
Liberty Coffee's investment in the El Fenix rare-varietal farm gives us the lease on the largest parcels of this innovative wet-mill project. Growers save from the proximity of this production facility and also profit from the advanced processing methods introduced to optimise the coffees.
